To have a closer encounter with the technologies present in Coptip, the class was divided into two groups. The first group studied the topic of offset rotary printing, participating in practical sessions with operators who explained their work clearly. The second group followed the path of pre-press and estimating, to understand the importance of these phases in the production cycle.

As a teacher, I believe it is essential that professional institutes interact with the local production companies, this synergy enriches the training of students and allows companies to actively contribute to the growth of new generations. It is an ethical duty for companies to make themselves available, since investing in the training of young people guarantees a qualified workforce, ready to respond to the challenges of the market. Visits like the one to Coptip represent a precious bridge between the educational and working worlds, stimulating the interest and motivation of students in their studies. A special thanks goes to Giuseppe Rovatti, president of Coptip, and his collaborators for the welcome and availability shown”, said Prof. Diego Lucarini, packaging engineer and polygraphic specialist who accompanied the class on the visit.

The specialists of the paper flyer

Coptip stands out not only for its excellence in printing, but also for its cutting-edge technologies and strong commitment to sustainability. The company is a leader in the sector thanks to the adoption of innovative solutions that reduce environmental impact, and dedicates significant resources to continuous training and research, ensuring constant updating of the skills of its operators. These values make Coptip a reference model in the industrial panorama, capable of combining production efficiency and social responsibility. The flyer is still a fundamental tool for the communication strategies of large-scale retail trade in Italy and Europe, much appreciated by consumers to quickly seize promotions and compare the offers of the various brands. Coptip has 75 operators who work on a surface area of 30 thousand square meters, there are 3 offset rotary presses and 250 tons of paper are printed every day.

Business world and young people

The role of companies in the training paths of students of technical and professional institutes is increasingly recognized as fundamental to guarantee training that concretely responds to the needs of the labor market. These educational institutions, which prepare young people to undertake specialized careers, need a close connection with the world of work to offer their students not only theoretical preparation, but also practical experiences that prepare them to face professional challenges. ENIP-GCT – National Agency for Professional Education, Graphics, Paper and Converting – in collaboration with companies in the sector, has always believed in the importance of bringing young people closer to the business world, supporting these connections with the 35 schools with a focus on graphics and paper currently recognized by the Agency, including IPSIA Fermo Corni in Modena.

“Companies are able to provide a stimulating environment in which students can apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom, acquiring practical skills and developing fundamental soft skills such as teamwork, time management and the ability to solve problems. A close collaboration between schools and companies allows training to be oriented towards the skills required by companies, promoting the job placement of young people and responding to the specific needs of the production sector. In this context, school-work alternation paths and company internships become essential tools to bridge the gap between the world of education and that of work, thus contributing to the training of highly qualified professionals, ready to respond to the challenges of a constantly evolving market”, concludes Marco Spada, President of ENIP-GCT.
