110 years have passed since Saul Sadoch announced the opening in Trieste of his “business selling paper, cardboard and all the articles related to this sector”. 110 years build a long and intense entrepreneurial history which has seen four generations of the Sadoch family taking turns managing the company, leader in paper converting sector
To celebrate this important milestone, Saul Sadoch wanted to pay homage to Trieste by creating a book dedicated to Miramare Castle Park, symbol of that city which welcomed the founder back in 1914 and which acted as a stage for the family and entrepreneurial history of the historic company, located in Trieste.
“I thank – declares president Paolo Sadoch – the director of the Historical Museum and Park of Miramare Castle, Dr. Andreina Contessa, for offering us the prestigious opportunity to create this splendid work; on the occasion of this important anniversary, I would like to particularly thank all the collaborators, even in retirement, who with their work have contributed significantly to the achievement of this prestigious goal. Precisely for this reason we wanted to pay homage to all the employees with significant recognition”.
Sadoch’s story is made of passion and dedication to work, of courageous choices and decisions that over the decades have led the company, which today is led by president Paolo Sadoch supported by his sons Davide and Cesare, to excel in the national and international market, enhancing the Italian style known and appreciated throughout the world.

A little history of the company
The history of Sadoch company begins with the distribution of “paper, cardboard and all the articles related to this sector”, and then gave life to a line of cigarette papers and tubes under Rex Bravo brand, which in 2022 was registered in the register of national brands of historical interest.
The range of products includes disposable wipes, tissue and crepe paper of various colors and weights, alongside the production of gift and lining paper, as well as party items.

Face to face with Cesare Sadoch, commercial director at Saul Sadoch
REX PACK® is just the latest in a wide range of products that you offer to the market, can you tell us more about it?
“The idea of Rex Pack® product was born in 2020 and thanks to the studies and production of special machinery we were able to respond to the need to package any product as quickly as possible without using tools such as scissors, adhesive tape or staples obtaining a perfect package at the same time. The innovation therefore consists in the ease of application, which does not require particular packaging skills, in the extreme speed as it saves over 80% of the time normally used in wrapping and in eco-sustainability as it is produced in paper and it is reusable. Rex Pack® is also produced with papers suitable for contact with food and water-repellent, always made up of 100% papers coming from European paper mills”.
As regards your production cycle, how are you organized, that is what technologies are you using?
“The production of all products takes place firstly with the choice of raw materials coming from our European suppliers, and then moving on to printing and subsequent production. The napkin lines, which produce over 10 million napkins a day, use water-based printing with flexographic technology and then move on to cutting and related packaging. The lines dedicated to gift paper printing concern coated and kraft papers which are printed thanks to machines with gravure technology, then cut, folded and/or rolled according to the needs of our customers. Finally, the packaging lines for shoppers with twisted paper handles, therefore 100% paper, first involve flexographic printing and then they move on to packaging machines”.
What is your response to the market’s requests for sustainability?
“The company has been certified for several years to ISO 14001, specific certification of an environmental management system, to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and FSC certified. For over 12 years we have been printing and packaging 100% recycled paper and from 2022 all the shopping bags and napkins produced in our factories will have the compost ability certification. Our 7 photovoltaic systems, the first installed in 2007, produce over 108% of the energy needed in the months of greatest energy production”.
Do you have any future investments planned and in which departments?
“Every year, high investments are allocated to optimize production cycles and factories. In 2024 an important investment was made for the purchase of new rolling machinery and special applications. New investments are planned for 2025 to enhance the offer in the increasingly growing Horeca market”.
