Reggiani Srl, a leader in the large-format digital, lithographic printing and paper converting sector, has boosted its machine fleet with the installation of two new printing systems from Durst P5 family: the flagship P5 350 HS with Double 4 (D4) technology, the first Italian installation in this exclusive configuration, and the hybrid UV P5 210 HS.
The installation of Durst P5 350 HS D4 and P5 210 HS printers, chosen to replace obsolete technologies, including a previous Durst plotter and an HP FB11000 system, represents a further step in the path of continuous innovation and optimization of production processes implemented by Reggiani, with the aim of further increasing both production capacity and quality, contributing to the development of new markets. Currently, the two systems, which have joined the roll-to-roll Durst 512R for printing flexible media up to 5 meters wide, which has been in the company for some time, are mainly used for customizing semi-expanded PVC panels, sandwich panels, cardboard for display systems, paper and adhesive vinyl.

A few months after installation, the advantages of the new P5 printing systems are evident. Printing speed, essential for ensuring a timely service to customers, is, according to Reggiani, one of the main strengths. “Thanks to the D4 system, for example, a 50-meter roll is printed in just 20 minutes, offering significantly superior print quality and detail precision”, he emphasizes. “The integration of the white color, which performs very well on all types of media, allows us to use Durst technologies even for the production of small wooden or plexiglass plates, always maintaining a very high level of quality”.
The performance of the P5 350 HS D4 and P5 210 HS installed by Reggiani is further enhanced by the implementation of Durst Workflow, the exclusive software developed by the South Tyrolean manufacturer for optimal workflow management. A solution particularly appreciated by the Reggiani team, both for its ease of use and for the completeness of the modules. “Furthermore, the software is constantly updated and this gives us the opportunity to further optimize the production processes”, adds Reggiani.
