Great success last September for the open house at Zetacarton, a corrugated cardboard manufacturer based in Senna Comasco (CO), where customers and prospects saw the Glory 1606 in action, a single pass inkjet solution which thanks to Errelle (Hanway Italia), entered the company last summer and will soon be part of an automated production line that will include an automatic loading module and dedicated cutting and finishing systems. Zetacarton has a significant turnover, around 80 million euros in 2022, there are 110 employees and in the company operate flexo printing machines too.
The company firmly believes in digital printing, the only one capable of meeting the needs of today’s packaging market which requires speed, printing quality and food-compatible inks. All characteristics satisfied by the Glory 1606, which prints at a speed of 180 m/min in very high quality in four colors with Kyocera print heads, the water-based inks allow rapid drying and are safe for food and pharmaceutical packaging. And the substrates? No problem: Glory 1606 can print on all types of corrugated cardboard from 1.5 to 11 mm thick, including Kraft, Kraft white and coated white; the maximum format is 1600 mm x 2800 mm.
