Konica Minolta celebrates 20 years in production printing: at the start of the press conference we saw a video of the factory in Japan where the C14010S is produced. The factory uses advanced automation and robotics to ensure precision and efficiency. And it is powered by 100% renewable energy, with 13% coming from solar panels on the roof.

Konica Minolta AccurioPress C14010s

Konica Minolta introduces the next generation of high-production presses, with the AccurioPress C14010/S and AccurioPress C12010/S models, designed to deliver outstanding print quality, ultra-high speed and incredible versatility, enabling customers to grow with digital printing.

Konica Minolta’s AccurioPress C14010/S and C12010/S printing systems offer exceptional performance, reaching print speeds of 140 and 120 A4 pages per minute (ppm). Thanks to the 5th colour, featured in the “S” models. Automation is also remarkable: the new intelligent multimedia sensors represent a turning point in automated print management, as they instantly identify the type, weight and format of the paper, always ensuring optimal print settings without operator intervention.

The new AccurioPress C14010/S and C12010/S systems can handle a wide range of media, both low and high weight (up to 450 gsm), including envelopes, embossed paper, adhesive paper, polyester. With these printing machines, the doors open to numerous and different applications, enhanced by the addition of the color white. The new machines are also perfect for supporting and integrating the offset printing department.

Flexibility and intelligent technology for maximum efficiency

The AccurioPress C14010/S and C12010/S printing systems can handle banner sheets up to 1300mm long, with automatic double-sided printing up to 900mm, offering unrivalled flexibility to meet all customer demands. Whether leaflets, book covers or specialty items, the AccurioPress C14010/S series helps customers rethink the potential of production printing and unlock further business growth opportunities.

The IQ-601 Intelligent Optimization Unit, which includes a new in-line spectrophotometer for more accurate color profiles, and the IM-104 and IM-105 Intelligent Media Sensors, ensure consistent, high-quality results with minimal operator intervention. The IM-105 measures paper size, detecting even the smallest variations resulting from cutting in reams, and together with the IQ-601, automatically adjusts image positioning to eliminate front-to-back alignment errors and ensure professional, consistent results for every print run. These tools help operators work more efficiently, reducing manual adjustments and waste to get flawless printed products in less time.

“As always when it comes to developing new machines, we wanted to understand the needs of the market, so we listened to our customers and their requests, also because I believe we have a responsibility to offer products that support customers not only today, but also in the future”, says Jason Dizzine, vice president of portfolio management and planning for Konica Minolta USA. In fact, the development goals were to reduce downtime, improve automation and ensure business opportunities, which are certainly favored by the possibility of also having white: during the press conference, Ines Wennemann, senior product manager, professional printing, underlined that “this white is really special because it is possible to choose between different densities, that is, a full or lighter white, based on the job to be printed and also based on the paper that is used”.

A testimonial from Germany

Alexander Späth, managing partner of the Späth Group printing house in Baden-Baden, proudly stated that the company was one of the few exclusive partners in Europe to test the Konica Minolta digital press, the C14010S, before it even officially hit the market!”

They tried the white toner and the result was excellent, productivity also impressed the German printer, in addition the self-inspection unit allowed the removal of dirty sheets and solved other printing problems without having to stop the machine.
