Inkmaker srl announces the acquisition of German company SWESA, specialised in customised dosing-systems, in the run up to Q3 2020. The recent purchase sees the revered, SWESA Dosiersysteme GmbH, join the Italian-based global technology leader, in yet another milestone in achieving Inkmaker Group’s global objective of offering total process-engineering to its client. The acquisition is Inkmaker’s third since 2019; Inkmaker srl made global headlines last year in October, after acquiring the businesses of Rexson Systems Limited and Vale-Tech Limited in the United Kingdom, and again earlier this year in January with the purchase of Tecnopails S.n.c in Italy.
SWESA, who hails environmental technology at its core, matches ecological and economic ideas with innovative dosing systems such as the FLEXO and SMARTMaster. These machines, respected in the market for being sturdy and durable, are renowned for not requiring frequent servicing. Additionally SWESA’s unique needleless valves, with their ability of achieving 100 per cent ink circulation, have attracted a significant database of global customers from the food packaging, office furniture, tissues and heavy-duty corrugated packaging industries.
Christophe Rizzo, CEO of the Inkmaker Group, EMEA and AMERICAS said: “Over the past few years Inkmaker has managed to successfully increase its business in Germany. The growth realised necessitated a next step and the acquisition of SWESA is the logical outcome of it. SWESA’s knowledge and technology is a perfect fit for the Inkmaker Group and we will continue the production of SWESA units in Germany. On behalf of the board, we are pleased to welcome SWESA Dosiersysteme GmbH to our growing family of brands.”
Roland Steinberg, Managing Director and owner of SWESA explained: “I am very pleased with the outcome. Inkmaker is a world leader backed by industry-4.0 technology with a worldwide salesforce and service infrastructure. This is a significant moment in a strategic global plan, I am confident that, through Inkmaker’s leadership and by joining the Inkmaker family of brands, SWESA has guaranteed the continuity of its business and is set to strengthen and increase its market position.” Roland will continue to play an active role in sales, as SWESA takes on a greater role within the Inkmaker group of companies.
SWESA will continue its focus on niche dispensing systems for the food packaging, office furniture, tissues and heavy-duty corrugated packaging industries from its base in Eltville am Rhein, Germany and will continue to support its existing SWESA customers. Additionally, the company will benefit from the support available from the Inkmaker group of companies’ global businesses—including offices in Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Australasia—as well as their combined global network of partners who will offer greater sales and support to their clients.
