Over the last six months, four fully customized control systems G1000 have been installed on rotogravure printing machines, three ones abroad and one in Italy. G1000 is a complete system, equipped with viscosity and temperature control, magnetic filter, and sophisticated production controls, customized for each rotogravure machine on which the system is installed.
These GAMA systems are developed to keep ink quality stable during the printing process and to reduce ink and solvent consumption. Based on tests carried out during production at different temperatures, a minimum 10% ink saving and 25% solvent saving were observed. During a simulation with different temperatures, for a ten colours rotogravure machine, at 40 and 24 degrees, a return on investment was observed after only 18 months. If we add savings in time/materials, the R.O.I. is limited to 12 months. Given the excellent results of the first systems, the G1000 will be officially presented at the next K fair, to be held in Düsseldorf from 16 to 23 October 2019.
