Italy is famous for its family-run companies, especially small and medium-sized ones, which, with their skills and creativity, have made their way not only at a national level, but also worldwide.
However, it is rarer to find all-Italian companies that, well aware of their capabilities, which have been confirmed by the market, have joined together in a group focused on customer needs. This is what happened with Foppa Fustelle Group, the new, yet well-known player in the Italian diemaking industry.
Foppa Fustelle Group is the result of the merger by incorporation of three major companies in the sector: Foppa Fustelle of Caravaggio, Made in Box of Sasso Marconi and Tecnosteel of Montecassiano.
“Since 1946, the year my father Pino delivered the first die, the market has changed a lot, becoming more and more dynamic and demanding”, emphasises Franco Foppa Pedretti, President of Foppa Fustelle Group. “Our DNA has always led us to find useful solutions for our customers and with Foppa Fustelle Group we have found the right answer.”
“The birth of the Group gives us an important competitive advantage”, confirms Andrea Pivi, Vice President, “because besides completing the offer, it unites professionals with many years of experience under one roof. In addition, it brings us closer to our customers and allows us to offer them technological solutions faster and faster.”
The companies represent three fundamental pillars in the world of packaging. From Italy, they support the most renowned international brands in conveying their products in high-quality cardboard packages and boxes, die-cut with precision and expertise. Each of them has made a name for itself in its own field: Foppa Fustelle is Italy’s leading manufacturer of flat dies for folding carton packaging. Evidence of their excellence came from the outside, thanks to the double certification ‘BOBST CERTIFIED’.
The other two players of the merger are Made in Box and Tecnosteel, both specialising in the production of flat and rotary dies for corrugated board packaging. For over thirty years, they have been trusted partners to numerous customers in their respective territories in Northern and Central Italy.
As the strengths of each company are complementary to each other, Foppa Fustelle Group is now able to produce flat and rotary dies for both folding carton and corrugated board.
Thanks to the geographic location of 4 plants in Central-Northern Italy, the Group can offer an excellent service that covers a large part of Italy through direct delivery, thus reducing distribution and intervention times. Last but not least, the new Group will also join forces in Research and Development, which has always been Foppa Fustelle’s flagship. Experienced and skilled technicians make their long experience available in their respective fields to take the future of die-cut production into wise hands.
History, expertise, technology and people: these are the ingredients that have made the three players of this group the benchmarks in their field. Today they have joined forces in a single large institution – Foppa Fustelle Group – which, by putting the customer at the centre, is not only the sum of the three but the exponential result of bringing skills together to create excellence.
