Driven by the need to expand the area dedicated to assembly, considering the growing company expansion driven by the constant technological updating of the machines built by bfm, the consolidation of a settlement consisting of a new warehouse with a covered area of 1500 meters square (in addition to the current 3000) was necessary. The space also houses a sector dedicated to research and development and an exhibition area for equipments, operating from the first half of this year.
The company is investing heavily in terms of resources and technology, to always be at the forefront in an increasingly competitive business environment. “We look to the future with confidence, certain that the 45-year anniversary and the inauguration of the new production space can become a new starting point”, says Simona Colombo, Sales & Marketing Manager.
New flexo printing machine
bfm will present a novelty for the flexographic printing sector: a new flexo Stack type SIRIO 6/8 COLORS S PLUS.
The new Sirio is a 6/8 color Stack type machine, designed for printing on various plastic materials for the packaging market but also suitable for paper materials, in line with the extruder or from reel to reel.
The printing length ranges from 350 to 1200 mm on widths from 800 to 1800 mm. The machine is made up of an unwinder with different solutions: fixed, shaft-less or revolver, 6/8 color printing unit with motorized printing cylinder, electric grinding and pneumatic inking. The drying group is composed of an intercolor system and a drying hood with gas or electric heating and a winder with different winding possibilities. The maximum production speed is 250 meters per minute. The automation platform of this machine was designed with the support of Bosch Rexroth, the industry leader in the automation of printing and converting machines
This model is a fair compromise between cost and performance: in this case, the use of IndraDyn MBT torque motors, which move the color unit made up of printing cylinder-clichè-anilox, guarantees great dimensional compactness and the right printing precision. The use of digital drives of the IndraDrive M series guarantees constant synchronism of position between the different printing elements, with consequent maintenance of the register both at high speeds and during acceleration and deceleration. Initial registration is very quick and can also be performed when the machine is stopped, significantly reducing energy waste and material waste. Among the novelties of S-Plus stands out the new graphic interface, designed on 21”, simple and intuitive but at the same time complete for the management of all the machine functions.
