Bandera, originally founded as a mechanical workshop in the 1940s, today is a reference company at global level in the extrusion of plastic materials for packaging and converting, with four business units: production of extrusion equipment for flexible film; production of extrusion lines for rigid film; post-consumer or post-industrial recycling and after-sales assistance. At exhibition at Plast 2023 there were four islands, and each was dedicated to these activities. To let visitors touch and see its solutions Bandera planned a dedicated open house, the House of Extrusion®.
As regards recycling there were: Twin Flex® Post-industrial polyolefin recycling plant; a plant for PET recycling from plastic bottles; a VOC and odor granule decontamination system; Reel Flex®, off-line system for post-industrial waste recovery.
The blown film division presented Techno Flex® 5-Layer + Trim Flex® trim recovery system plant dedicated to the production of high-performance multilayer film with renewed design and new technical solutions; Barrier Flex® 5-layer line for barrier applications.
Visitors of the open house saw also, regarding flat die division: Alphapet® rigid film extrusion line equipped with special lamination for laminating barrier and non-barrier polyolefin films.
During the open house it has been possible to see some projects: MDO Industrial-scale R&D project; Condor Line® is a flat die line designed to share R&D programs thanks to the combination of multiple technologies; Twin Screw Blown film line equipped with twin-screw extruder for direct recovery
“The fair went well, we had many visitors from Italy, Europe, but also from Africa, therefore a mixed provenience, but we also recorded a good turnout for our open house at Busto Arsizio headquarters, where there were various really working technologies, for example Techno Flex and Twin Flex were always operational. Also the dinner that we organized in Busto Arsizio, which was attended by more than 100 customers and prospects, was a success: a pleasant but also important moment to present technologies. During the fair we closed various orders, both new and already started before Plast, so for us the balance of Plast is positive”, says Andrea Gorla, marketing and communication manager of Bandera.
At the fair there was great interest in the recycling plants, because obviously Bandera’s customers need to recycle their waste, furthermore the solutions of the recycling division are synergistic with the machines proposed by the historical divisions of the company, “therefore with our technologies the users can manage to satisfy the entire world of plastic production and recycling at 360°, with a complete path that goes from production to recycling”, concludes Andrea.
