Printing professionals worldwide can declare their love of print by sharing ‘printspiration’ across social media channels in celebration of International Print Day by using the hashtag #IPD24. The International Print Day 2024 poster has been created by Craig Bower, Design That Rocks.
This year’s theme is #PrintLife. #PrintLife represents our lives in print – what we do, where we do it, who we do it for – and why a print is a fun and rewarding career. #PrintLife also represents the emotional attachment to the tangible medium of print when it comes to celebrating important moments in our lives, creating keepsakes, and much more.
“This year is the 10th anniversary of International Print Day, and the annual mission to take to our socials and declare our love of print continues to grow worldwide”, said Deborah Corn, founder of International Print Day and the Intergalactic Ambassador to The Printerverse at Print Media Centr. Print Media Centr provides printspiration and resources to its vast network of global print and marketing professionals through education, events, Podcasts from The Printerverse, ProjectPeacock.TV, Girls Who Print, and an array of community-lifting initiatives. Print Media Centr also works with printers, suppliers, and industry organizations to help them create stronger and more meaningful customer relationships and lasting relationships with members.
“With workforce development being a universal problem in the industry, #IPD24 is the perfect opportunity to share the cool printed products we can create, how print media supports digital media as a powerful communications channel and help transform print from an antiquated to a modern technology”.
“Print is already a big part of people’s lives, especially when documenting and celebrating milestones and special occasions. I chose #PrintLife as this year’s theme to focus on the advances in printing technology that make it a customizable canvas to decorate our homes and businesses, light up our favorite soda bottles with printed electronic labels, and create interactive experiences with digital bridges to online media”, said Corn. “There are so many print applications consumers are unaware of: International Print Day is the perfect opportunity to engage and inspire your audience and make new connections and customers by showing off what you can do”.
