Digital hybrid printing and finishing in the label market is growing in popularity. It’s primarily driven by an increasing demand for short-run printing, growth of e-commerce, high-quality printing in packaging and labelling, and rising personalised printing. Domino has already enjoyed considerable hybrid success, with 29% of all installed N610i being integration modules.
Launched on 9th September, the N730i Integration Module uses the proven N730i print engine. It harnesses the Domino i-Tech features, BITSTARTM printhead technology, and proprietary TPO-free inks, to produce fine details, including micro text and CJK characters, with superb quality. This technology stack delivers high-resolution 1200dpi print at up to 70 metres per minute across all colours – including reliable printing of high-opacity white at top speed. The Sunrise DFE offers real-time inline RIP for labels featuring customisation and variable data, making print runs with multiple SKUs easy, with no need for offline preparation.

DOMINO N610i-R: a compact retrofit for insertion into existing traditional production lines
The N610i-R digital retrofit module has been designed to transform a customer’s existing flexographic press into a versatile digital hybrid solution.
Our retrofittable print module had a soft launch a year ago when we showed the N610i-R display piece on our Labelexpo Europe stand. This month sees a strong relaunch of the product, with a full set of marketing materials, including an N610i-R brochure, web page and animated video.
The compact N610i-R is placed on top of an existing flexo line, removing the need for additional space, and adds new digital capability while seamlessly integrating with the current analogue equipment.
Your customers can use the N610i-R to extend the life of their existing flexo press. The combination of digital and flexo technology will help them to open up new opportunities, allowing them to deliver excellent print quality and production flexibility, while taking advantage of quick turnaround and non-stop production for multiple SKU jobs. The N610i-R is compatible with leading flexo presses.
Ensure peace of mind with R-Scan
Quality control is a critical element in label production. We are therefore delighted to announce the release of Domino’s R-Scan inline monitoring and inspection camera system, which is now available as an optional add-on for the N730i and N730i-F. Developed in collaboration with print inspection expert Lake Image Systems, a Domino Group Company, the R-Scan features a suite of automated print quality and variable data assurance tools to help minimise waste and provide peace of mind to converters.
Requiring minimal setup time and supervision, the R-Scan provides automated monitoring of print quality, colour deviations, and registration at high speeds, with audible and visible alerts. Fast detection of errors improves overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by reducing waste, rework, and associated downtime, while helping converters to deliver reliable label quality and secure repeat business.
