Plastigraf Trevigiana company, a Venetian company based in Carbonera (TV), founded in 1980 and specialized in laminating and spreading of coatings, announces its collaboration with Marco Scatto.
Industrial chemist specialized in Polymer Science, Marco Scatto is an expert in biopolymers and thermoplastic polymers for industrial applications especially in the packaging sector. He collaborates with the main Italian universities and works as a polymer scientist, he is also a scientific advisor and teacher at the Italian Packaging Institute.
Together, Plastigraf and Marco Scatto are developing innovative projects on different materials, both for the food sector and for the cosmetics sector: bio-based and compostable materials both industrially and in home composting, up to water-soluble bioplastics and marine compost; materials deriving from recycling, both chemical and mechanical, with a recycled material content up to 90%, both suitable for food contact, also available in the metallized version; polymeric materials with thicknesses reduced to 4 my, to reduce the plastic content in the finished packaging; bio-based and mineral-derived coatings, suitable for food contact, for every need in the food sector (water vapor barrier and suitable for conventional and microwave ovens).
